Why is Mad Hostel called Mad Hostel?
A good question! Let's see, first Mad is short for Madrid. In addition, Mad means "loco", yes mad in English! We think Madrid is a pretty "mad" city! A city that never sleeps, where its very hot in summer and very cold in winter and where the streets are always bustling with people. You have to admit you have to be a bit "mad" to live in Madrid!

Is there a place in the rooms where cases can be left? and, on departure day?
Each guest has a locker with a key in the room or dormitory to safeguard his/her belongings. These lockers are pretty safe but we do not take responsibility for the objects deposited in them.
On departure day we have a free left-luggage service. You can leave your things with us the day you leave.
You can only leave your luggage with us on your day of departure and you have to pick them up before 22 h. for security reasons. Any luggage left longer may be checked out by our staff and if they can't open it the police will be informed and it will therefore be considered "abandoned luggage" and consequently, might be destroyed. In such circumstances Mad Hostel will not be responsible for any resulting losses or damages.
If luggage is not retrieved and Mad Hostel considers it to be safe, it will be stored but a daily storage charge will accrue which will have to be paid before the luggage can be recovered.
